Thanksgiving break is right around the corner! YAY!
But while it can be very tempting to check out early, drool
over your Thanksgiving feast, and binge-watch a whole season of Orange is the
New Black on Netflix, it’s important to use your breaks to start on those
assignments due when you get back.
This semester, Finals Week starts on
December 4th. That’s only
3 days after we return from Thanksgiving break! Don’t get me
wrong—enjoy your break! Watch a few episodes of the show you’ve been watching,
kick back and catch up on your R&R. But make sure to also dedicate some
time and get a head start on those assignments that are due after the break.
Here are some quick tips to keep yourself afloat during
those last assignments and finals:
1. Make a schedule
Set aside some time during
Thanksgiving break to study or work on those assignments due after, even if
it’s just a few of them. It’ll make the last two weeks of the Fall semester
easier.
2. Make a checklist
Organizing the things you have to
do will make it easier to stay on topic and not get sidetracked. Plus, crossing
things off feels nice!
3. Take breaks
We’re not saying ONLY work on
school during Thanksgiving break. Just make sure to get started on it. And take
small breaks while you work on the assignments.
4. Stay Organized
Stick to your schedule and
checklist.
