Student Success Stories

This week's success story: Scarlett Bowman Graduating Class of '15

"Last year at this time I was a Management Major and I was in search of an internship. After attending the job fair, I was not happy with the career options in my field, so I made an appointment with Career Services to assess different majors the CBA offered. After much consideration I decided to go into Supply Chain Management and went on the internship hunt, once again. I attended the spring job fair, as well as, different recruiting events on campus and ended up with an internship in Nashville this past summer with a third party logistics company. When I returned to school this fall I met with Danny Pape at Career Services, and he helped me plan for the upcoming job fair. I also began applying to different jobs on Hire-A-Vol and had my resume critiqued. After the fall job fair I had the pleasure of interviewing with Georgia-Pacific and accepted the position as a Procurement Specialist. I am very excited about working with GP, and I cannot wait to see where it takes me. I would not have been prepared without the help from Danny Pape and Career Services. "
