With midterm results currently plaguing students
everywhere, the last thing on our minds is probably getting ready for finals
and working on final projects. Thanksgiving is coming up, homecoming is this week, and, believe me,
excitement is in the air. Four day weekend right around the corner? Food, family, and friends? Count me
in. While these times should be moments for relaxation and rest, that
does not mean you cannot get ahead on your school work and get some
projects/papers done in your spare time. I know, who is this guy and why does
he think he can tell me how to spend my time?! While it may sound
ridiculous to some people, getting schoolwork done during the break and in the midst of all the excitement will make the rest of your semester much easier, especially during finals. I’m
not saying to spend the whole break studying, but if you can get an assignment
or paper out of the way, your stress levels will be significantly lower and
you’ll end up much happier and, hopefully, with better grades at the end of the
semester! That being said, enjoy your Thanksgiving break and homecoming festivities as per usual. But I
promise that writing that paper instead of binge-watching two hours of your new
favorite show on Netflix or partying hard EVERY night this week will pay off later on!
Some food for thought,
