Interviewing tends to be a topic that many students struggle with, and depending on the myths that friends and family may promote, it may seem close to impossible to master. Aside, interviewing is not difficult at all if you know the common myths and practice on your communication skills through mock interviews. Below is a site from forbes.com that lists common myths and misconceptions that concern interviewing. Knowing the truth behind interviewing allows for the interviewee to feel confident walking into it. Navigating the Workplace: LGBTQ Professional Career Panel

Many of us face hardships daily; some are known and some remain unseen to others. People of the LGBTQ community face many challenges that may transfer into the workforce. On March 11th, there will be a panel of professionals from all different fields at UT to answer those unspoken questions on common issues faced by certain communities. This is a great opportunity to get the advice of professionals as well as to ask any questions you may have!
