I'm in college....Now What?

Okay, so goal number one of making it to college has been accomplished…Yes!! But what’s the next step? After all, we all know the main reason we come to college is to achieve the ultimate
objective of getting a degree to get a great job upon graduation. Yet what some people fail to realize is that making it here is only the first step. There are certain things employers wish to see you exhibit before they are ready to consider you for hire with that dream job such as :experiences and internships, leadership, community service, etc. Here are a few articles that come straight from the horse’s mouth about exactly what YOUR next steps should be to ensure you that stand out to employers upon graduating. Job Fair Tips

The job fair is TOMORROW from 2-6pm. Are you nervous? Don’t be. You might think this is your only shot to get that internship you’ve been wanting... Or your last chance to get a job before you graduate, but it’s not. Relax. Take this is for what it is—an opportunity to build your network and see what’s out there. There are ways to make yourself stand out from the other students at the job fair, such as:

·         Create a plan for the job fair.

·         Use an “elevator pitch”.

·         ALWAYS remember to get a business card!
